We celebrate Labor Day this weekend in the United States. This is also considered the unofficial end of summer as schools have begun, public pools usually close, and other summer focused businesses often close this weekend. This weekend is a time for remembrance and appreciation of the laborers, historically those that helped grow and develop the labor movement in the United States, and today for all those that labor. While you are celebrating this weekend, consider those that work hard throughout the year and thank as many as you can this weekend.
As for my family, we will be spending time together, shopping the great Upland junk swap (officially the town wide rummage sales over Labor Day weekend), checking out the Back Door Books sale, and enjoying for the Upland Labor Day Festival (see flyers below).
