2021 - Gen Con 2021

Gen Con 2021 is happening. Only a sonnet can truly encapsulate the heartbreak that I am not in Indianapolis today…

How do I miss thee Gen Con? Let me count the ways.
I miss thee to the gameplay and cosplay and event
My soul yearns for, when staying away from you
For the health of family and friends alike.
I miss thee to the late hours of every day’s
Most played game, by hall and hotel-light.
I miss thee friends, as you share pictures.
I miss thee foods, as I read your posts.
I miss thee with the fond memories
Of past Gen Cons, with my family and friends.
I miss thee with a love I cannot lose
With my fellow geeks. I miss thee with the dice,
games, costumes, of all my friends; and, if God choose,
I shall miss thee until I return next year

Apologies to Elizabeth Barrett Browning (the original poet of Sonnet 43)

Some wonderful random memories of past Gen Con’s to tide me over emotionally.
