2020 - Celebrating 26 Years of Marriage

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.

Today, I am celebrating twenty-six years of marriage to the love of my life, Angie Knight. Doesn’t feel so celebratory with the COVID-19 pandemic. With Angie’s Multiple Sclerosis, we have to be more self isolated than most people. These past few months have been frustrating, stressful, exhausting, emotional, you name the negative experience and it likely fits. I have not always been the nicest person to be around as I have navigated through this day to day.

Yet through it all, Angie continues to smile at me, encourage me, support me, and love me. This pandemic is not the first challenge we have walked through together, side by side. The back surgery in the fall and the pandemic this spring have just added additional stories to our previous twenty five years of experiences.

Our marriage is a little older, a little wiser, and a little more experienced. It has a few more grey hairs and some additional scars. It also has lots of amazing memories, joyful experiences, strong bonds, and so much love. SO MUCH LOVE!

Angie, I love you more than I can put in words. Happy 26th Anniversary!

  1. I love you lots and lots and lots, sweetie – what a blessing you continue to be! We have traveled many unplanned paths, and each has had blessing, challenge and beauty that has been richer because we’ve faced it together.

    Xoxo ❤️❤️❤️❤️
