Sunset over Lake Michigan at Indiana Dunes

When I started this blog in December of 2014, I had no expectations. I was a new freelance editor in the tabletop game industry and wanted to talk about my work. What began with Freelancer – Why Become One? evolved from that simple topic of freelance editing to discuss my family, my hobbies, Multiple Sclerosis, being a caregiver, accessibility, writing, and more. I had no idea I would write posts for over ten years.

My life has changed so much since 2014 and the blog has slowly been moved further and further into the background. This past year it went silent, and I apologize for that. Angie’s Multiple Sclerosis continues to progress which means my caregiving increases. I also have other creative outlets that have required my focus. With limited time and other interests, this blog was sidelined and I think it is time to make that change official. As of the end of this month (January 2026), I am shutting down this blog.

I want to thank all of you who have followed along, made comments, and been engaged with me these past eleven years. If you would like to continue to follow along my journey in life, you can still find me writing each month in our SIL ministry newsletter and occasionally on social media (Twitter, Bluesky, and Facebook).

Thank you for your freelance projects, your friendship, your comments, and your prayers.

End of an Era
